Research interests: planetary soils, solar energetic particles, the search for complex organic molecules on other planets, lunar polar ice

Personal interests: private pilot (approximately 250 hours), hiking, scuba diving, sailing, history; and of course the family: wife Marie, four-year-old daughter Georgia, and baby Tristan

Why did I pursue physics as a career?

I get to smash things onto the Moon. What more need I say? Forty years after man first walked on the Moon, space is still the final frontier. As a physicist and space scientist I get a chance to do some of the exploring.
